Sean Higgins

Software engineer with a M.S. in Software Engineering and a B.S. in Computer Science from Loyola University Chicago. Currently working on a high-performing enterprise platform team building authentication and API gateway infrastructure at scale. I enjoy building clean, practical software and have experience across front-end, back-end, data engineering, and machine learning.

When I'm not writing code, you can find me in the boxing ring, on the mountain snowboarding, enjoying a live concert, or at home building furniture and making art. World traveler. Eagle Scout. Cat dad to Sunny.

OAuth2.0 subject matter expert for API Gateway Platform. Architect authentication features including Workforce SSO and Step-Up Auth. Own the Consent UI full-stack Angular app on AWS CloudFront. Core maintainer of the Lua-based API Gateway, delivering feature development and leading inner-source contributions.

Built a full-stack Angular/Java application automating Scala ETL workflows for credit card partner conversions, reducing conversion length by 4 months. Transformed 10M+ trailing transactions across 1-2M customer accounts for 3 successful conversion events on AWS EMR.
